Pricing · free to download

Free to download. Pay only for AI you don't run yourself.

The editor is free and yours to keep — unlimited projects, Web + Windows export, real Godot 4 files you own. The only thing that ever costs money is the built-in AI, and even that's optional: run your own local model and every prompt is $0, forever. No subscription, no revenue cap, no seats.

Energy · optional

Don't want to set up a local model? Buy energy.

Energy powers the built-in AI — no API keys, no local install, just prompt and go. It's prepaid and never expires; bigger packs include bonus energy. 1 energy ≈ a fraction of a cent of AI; a small edit costs a few dozen, a big build a few thousand.

Two ways to run the AI. Both keep the editor free.

Same editor, same exports, same real Godot 4 projects. The only choice is how the model runs — your own machine for free, or hosted on energy for zero setup.

Billing FAQ

Fair, and in plain English.

Is IgniteX really free?

Yes. The editor is free to download and keep — unlimited projects, full export, real Godot 4 files you own. If you run your own local model, the AI is free too: $0 per prompt, forever. You only ever pay if you choose the built-in AI.

What exactly is "energy"?

Energy is prepaid credit for the built-in AI. Each AI turn spends a little energy based on how much work the model did. It's not a subscription — you buy a pack, it sits in your account with no expiry, and you spend it as you prompt.

Do I have to buy energy?

No. Energy is purely a convenience so you don't have to set up a local model or bring an API key. Run a local Claude Code session instead and you never spend anything on AI. Out of energy mid-project? Switch to your local model and keep going for free.

How far does a pack go?

It depends on the model and how big each edit is — a small tweak costs a few dozen energy, a large multi-file build a few thousand. The $20 "Make a game" pack is sized to carry a typical small game from blank scene to shippable. You always see your balance, and you'll never be charged past it.

Is there a subscription?

No. Energy is one-time prepaid, full stop. No recurring charge, no card kept on file unless you buy again, no auto-renew.

Can I get a refund?

Unused energy is refundable within 7 days — email us and we return whatever's left in your balance. Energy you've already spent on AI turns is consumed, so that part can't be refunded. The editor itself is free, so there's nothing to refund there.

Do I own the games I make?

Completely. Scenes, scripts, and assets are real Godot 4 files on your disk. We retain zero rights to your work — open the project in Godot and walk away any time. No revenue cap, no royalty, ever.

Can I export my game?

Yes. One click gives you a downloadable Web zip or a single-file Windows .exe. macOS and Linux templates are wired up and shipping soon.
